LEGAL REQUIREMENT
Linking may be required by law, depending on usage. If chairs are to be used under a Public Entertainment Licence, you may need to check with your local Fire Officer (or whoevever carries out safety procedures)as to whether or not chairs should be linked.
Kirkhouse recommend linking for installations of 50+ chairs. Linking creates a clean, defined space for users. Large installations of unlinked chairs can become untidy and hazardous.
